How to compress a photo to a target size
An attachment limit should not turn into a guessing game. Use target-size compression to choose a file-size goal, compare the actual output, and export the result that works for you.
These tools run in the Auvrelin mobile app, on your device.
How it works
- 01
Choose photos
Open Image compression and choose your still photos. You can work with up to 20 images at a time, with a limit of 40 MB and 32 megapixels per image.
- 02
By size
Choose By size and enter your target for each image. Keep original dimensions if resolution matters; allow a smaller size when the file limit matters more. Review the output format before processing.
- 03
Export
Compare the original with the generated options and check the actual file size. Zoom in on fine details. Use Export to save or share your chosen result. If the original is already smaller, keep it.
Good to know
Try a 200 KB target as a setting, not a guarantee. Some detailed photos cannot reach it at the original dimensions. Increase the target or allow smaller dimensions, and inspect text and edges before exporting.
